School Fees

In accordance with the government's announcement that VAT would be applied to independent school fees effective from 1st January 2025, fees are now subject to VAT at the standard 20% rate.

*School fees are subject to VAT at the standard 20% rate as of 1 January 2025.

Fees are charged termly in advance and include school lunch. Educational trips, extra-curricular activities and public examinations are not included and are charged as extras on the termly fee account.

A term’s notice (two terms in the case of Year 6) is required, in writing, for the withdrawal of a pupil or the cancellation of an extra, or payment for the following term will be required.

The Terms and Conditions require that fees are paid on or before the first day of the term to which they relate. Childcare Vouchers are accepted by the School. Parents who, for whatever reason, are unable to pay in accordance with the school’s terms and conditions should contact the Director of Finance & Operations immediately.

Where fees are not paid on time, an interest charge of 8% above bank base rate will be added to the balance of the account.

Pre-School Fees 

The school offers eligible families 15 hours of funding (please see the Government website for details).

Our funded sessions take place at set times during the week, as indicated below:

Parents may register their child to attend only the funded sessions* if they wish. Please note, in the event a parent is late to collect, the full session fee will be charged.

Parents will need to provide the relevant working code to demonstrate eligibility for children starting in the Pre-School during the term they turn 3. This is not required for children starting in the Pre-School who have already turned 3. For all children in receipt of Early Years funding, the school requires to see the child's passport or birth certificate (scanned or photocopies of the passport are not permissible). Early Years funding remains in place until the end of Pre-School.

Please note, Pre-School fees are exempt from VAT.

Registration Fee for a Pre-School place

Parents are required to complete the Registration Form to apply for a place in Pre-School. A registration fee of £75 will be requested if you are applying for a place in Reception.

Deposit for a Pre-School place

No deposit is required for a Pre-School place. A deposit of £1,000 will only be taken if you later apply for a place in Reception. This deposit will be returned when your child leaves Cranford.

Tax Free Child Care Savings (TFC Savings) and Child Care Vouchers

Either of these can be used to contribute towards school fees up until the term before the child turns 5 (e.g. if your child turns 5 in February, the TFC or Child Care Vouchers cannot be used beyond the preceding December). These can also be used towards the cost of clubs running on the school site after the age of 5. The TFC Savings and Child Care Vouchers are not redeemable against residential trips or clubs off-site.

Pre-School Sessions

Children should attend Pre-School for a minimum of 3 sessions per week, although there is some flexibility depending on the pupil's needs. Acceptance Deposits

The deposit is not refundable if your child does not take up a place at the School. The deposit will form part of the general funds of the School until it is credited without interest to the final payment of the Fees or other sums due to the School on your child’s leaving. A final bill will be prepared on completion of the final term.

Please note: individual sessions can be booked if spaces are available and must be booked in advance. These will be charged at £7.50 per session for Breakfast Club starting at 7.30am; After School Care at £7.50 per session from 3.30pm to 4.15pm and at £7.50 per session for After School Care from 4.15pm to 5.00pm.

Clubs and extra-curricular activities are chargeable in advance as advised in the appropriate booklets. There are also many lunchtime and after school clubs which are non-chargeable and all clubs can be booked through the school office.

We also offer two optional insurance policies operated by Marsh Insurance Brokers:
