The academic potential of this year group has been clear throughout their time at Cranford School and this is reflected in their excellent set of GCSE results.
Cranford celebrates an outstanding set of GCSE results in 2025
Cranford is thrilled to be celebrating pupils’ exceptional achievements across an outstanding set of GCSE results that highlight the school’s continued academic excellence. With an impressive 54% of all grades at 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A), improving top grades overall by 5% from the previous year, the school continues to underline its reputation for academic excellence.
The school is especially proud to maintain a Value-added score of +1, indicating that pupils continue to achieve well over a grade above their nationally standardised baseline targets. This continues to demonstrate academic consistency with a hugely impressive average GCSE Value-Added Score of +1.27 over the last 10 years.
As in previous years, the school’s results proved incredibly strong across the curriculum with 58% of all grades at 7 or higher in core subjects English, Maths and Science. Physics 65% and Computer Science 71% both achieved impressive 9-7 results. Similar success was celebrated across the school; in the Creative Arts 76% of all grades were achieved at 9-7, with 78% grades 9-7 in Religious Studies and 63% in Modern Foreign Languages. Particular highlights include 91% 9-7 French and 93% 9-7 Textiles.
Year 11 have been an outstanding group of role-models for the whole school, who have led the Senior School with humour, warmth and kindness. They have set an admirable example for their peers in their hard-working and diligent approach to their studies throughout their time at school. We are very proud of each and every student and are looking forward to seeing them go onto achieve great things, as they progress forwards into Sixth Form.
Dr James Raymond, Headmaster
These results follow an exceptional set of A-level results this year (67% of all grades achieved at A*-B) with 100% of graduating students heading off to their chosen university underline their impressive dedication to their studies and the Sixth Form teaching team who have supported the students in achieving these impressive results.
We are also delighted that 100% of our 2025 graduating A-level students will be heading off to their chosen university.
