Junior Day of Discovery

These free to attend, annual open community events are a celebration of encouraging young minds to interact, explore and enjoy a festival style event under a single theme hosted at Cranford School. This autumn we will be hosting our ninth year of Junior Discovery Days. Visiting parents and families from Pre-School to Year 6 are welcome to join in the sights, sounds and activities across the school grounds on the day. Local reputation has spread over the years and it is an event to be marked in the calendar.

Save the date: Saturday 8th November is our next Junior School Day of Discovery!

A big thank you to all of the children and families who attended our most epic Junior Day of Discovery to date. Great Inventions! on Saturday 9 November 2024 was as memorable for the amazing visit and talk by Dame Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock as the expressions on children's faces as they made the most of all of the wonderous inventions on display across the school. From giant 100 tonne mobile cranes, jet dragster launches to giant steam engines.

On behalf of our chosen charity Unicef, we would like to thank all of our generous exhibitors from Space Store helping our junior astronauts, Emerson Cranes, Heli Air for providing the helicopter transport, our visiting Vikings from Regia Anglorum historical society and Simply Spitfire for allowing children to see a WWII icon up close. Together with our always charitable attendees, we collectively raised vital funds to help provide humanitarian support for children around the globe. Thank you for making our Junior Day of Discovery so memorable, and we hope to see you next year!
