During the academic year, we offer a variety of events which enable families to discover what a Cranford education can offer their son or daughter. Once a year in the Autumn Term, we hold a Whole School Open Morning on a Saturday, followed by our Whole School Open Weeks which take place once each term. For our youngest pupils, we hold termly Pre-School and Reception Open Mornings as well as weekly Toddler Stay & Play sessions every Monday during term time.
Alternatively, you are welcome to book in for a personal tour of the school at a time convenient to you.
It’s easy to arrange a visit to Cranford. Open Events and Personal Tours are available during term time throughout the year. Visit our School Tours and Visits page, and our friendly admissions team will contact you to arrange a convenient time and date for your visit. Or give us a call.

Our helpful Admissions Calculator (link) will confirm when your child can join Cranford School based on their date of birth. Our standard points of entry are Reception, Year 7 and Year 12. If you are interested in admissions to other year groups, please contact us for more information.
We encourage early registration for all years, particularly for our most sought after entry points, Reception, Year 7 and Year 12 which can often be oversubscribed. Enquiries are taken on a first come, first served basis, and if waiting lists apply, these are based on date of registration.
Small class sizes and maintaining our teacher – pupil ratios so year groups can become oversubscribed. However places may become available, so registration is highly encouraged.
When you are ready to apply, please complete our online application form and our friendly admissions team will be in touch to guide you through the application process for your child.
A £75 non-refundable registration fee is payable on registration.
At Cranford, places are not offered solely based on academic ability. Our school is a place where children are celebrated and encouraged to pursue a wide range of interests, both within and beyond the classroom. We aim to provide a well-rounded, opportunity-rich education to children and welcome applications from those who are ready and willing to make the most of all that Cranford has to offer.
Prospective pupils are not expected to prepare before our entry assessments and the process is designed to allow everyone the chance to showcase their talents, abilities and enthusiasms.
Offers can be made throughout the year, depending on your child’s point of entry.
Should a year be oversubscribed, some pupils may be invited to join a waiting list, from which offers can be made at any time up to the beginning of the new school year should a place become available.
We do offer a variety of Scholarships at Year 7 and Year 12 entry. Please have a look at our Scholarships & Bursaries page for more information.
The Governors of Cranford School are committed to broadening access to the school by offering eligible parents means-tested financial support (a bursary) with the payment of school fees. Bursary support is based on an assessment of financial circumstances and considers capital assets, income, investments and savings. Visit our Bursaries page for more information.
At Cranford, we do accept the 15 hours funding.
