Dear Parents
This week in school, we have enjoyed one of the true highlights of the year. The simply exceptional Year 3 and 4 production of ‘What a Knight!’
Over two action-packed performances in a full Willow Theatre, audiences were treated to something genuinely special. Rich in comic timing, confident storytelling and wonderful musicality, the production carried us, quite brilliantly, into the world of Camelot.
What stood out most was not just the performance itself, but the poise and presence of our pupils. Year 3 and 4 delivered with confidence, warmth and a real sense of joy, engaging their audience from the very first moment. It was a pleasure to witness - we hope that these pictures give you a small insight of the performance.

My thanks go to all those involved, staff, pupils and families alike, for supporting a production of such quality. Moments like these remind us of something important- the extraordinary range of talent within our school, and the culture that allows it to flourish.
Alongside this, we have seen a significant number of ABRSM music examinations taking place this week. These represent hours of quiet dedication and disciplined practice, less visible, perhaps, than a performance on stage, but no less important. Together, they offer a powerful reminder of why the performing arts sit so firmly at the heart of school life.
They give our pupils the opportunity to express themselves, to build friendships, and to understand the value of hard work, resilience and crucially generosity of spirit in working towards a shared goal.
We then moved into the latter part of the week with a wonderful sense of community and celebration through Red Nose Day.
The school was a sea of red this morning, filled with energy, laughter and purpose. Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed. Particular congratulations to those who embraced the gateaux gamble - some truly outstanding baking on display.
In the Junior School, the high-speed fun run provided both energy and enthusiasm in abundance, while in the Senior School, the day concluded with a superb House Choir competition. There was some excellent singing on display - but, more importantly, there was a genuine sense of enjoyment and togetherness.
This has been the thread that runs through the week- fun, resilience and community. Different moments, different settings, but the same underlying values.
Please do take a minute to see our week in pictures.
I hope you all enjoy a restful weekend.
With very best wishes
James Raymond
