As the Spring weather turns milder, it has been wonderful to see our pupils making the most of the school's outdoor spaces, both during their free time and for sporting fixtures.

Of particular note was the first day of sunny open-air swimming as our pool's roof was rolled back for the first time this year - a sure sign that Spring has sprung! As ever, I continue to be impressed by our boys' and girls' commitment to school sport and never more so than yesterday as a small group of our gymnasts represented Cranford House at the prestigious GSA National Gymnastics Championships at SHSK. Competing against 25 other schools, our team of five gave some outstanding performances in this national arena, resulting in a fantastic 9th place for the team. This is a superb achievement for a small school like ours and we are all very proud of them.

Elsewhere in school, our Key Stage 2 pupils enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Big Bang Science Fair in Birmingham. This action-packed day of interactive scientific workshops and displays covered Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with the aim of bringing the Science taught in lessons to life outside of the classroom. We encourage a love of science to start early at Cranford House and earlier today our Nursery School children enjoyed a very exciting trip to our Physics Lab for lots of experiments involving litmus paper,a tornado maker and some explosive reactions!

This week, we also welcomed Year 7 parents to school for Parents' Evening, providing a chance to reflect on their daughters' strong progress, but also the sense of energy and fun that our Year 7 cohort have maintained throughout the year! Their growing sense of maturity and self-assurance is a pleasure to witness.

Finally, we were pleased to welcome the Independent Schools Inspectorate into Cranford House yesterday as part of our planning and preparation for the changes we are making to the school. We are all very proud of the school so it is always a privilege to share our outstanding community with new visitors. As ever, it gives me real pleasure to report that our pupils were superb ambassadors for the school.
