Last night’s final performance of the Years 7 and 8 production of Bugsy Malone was an absolute triumph!

A host of confident, characterful performances, some superb musical moments and a fantastic finale all came together to create a truly memorable evening. It was wonderful to see the smiles of the faces of the whole cast matched by those of the audience as the lights came up.

As well as a fantastic showcase for the work of our excellent Performing Arts department, Bugsy also gave audiences the first chance to enjoy the upgrades recently made to our Willow Theatre. As well as a new air conditioning system, the Theatre has also benefitted from an entirely new lighting system which was used to great effect last night. Very many thanks to our hard-working PTA and all of those of you who have supported them in raising the funds for these superb additions to school.

These are just some of the ongoing improvements  to our school which are at the heart of our development plan. With many more projects already underway, it is really exciting to see pupils already enjoying these enhanced facilities.

Finally, it was a real pleasure to see what a success our first transition event for those children joining us in in Reception in September.  We know our Reception class provides an outstanding start to boys’ and girls’ education, as is reflected by the strong demand for places we are already seeing for the years ahead. We very much look forward to welcoming the children again for our next event in June.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
