This week, we have enjoyed some exceptional musical performances from our Key Stage 2 pupils as part of their series of Tea Concerts. It was wonderful to hear such a range of talent in all musical disciplines and just what we needed to dislodge the grey and dreary skies! I know that parents are in for a treat – look out for the link that will be sent to you next week for the virtual recording of your son or daughter’s Year Group!

It has been an exciting and successful week in sport. The gymnastics teams entered their first virtual competition, with incredibly positive feedback, and we look forward to the next one in a month's time. Putting on an exceptional display of team effort, we are delighted to announce that the riding team have qualified for the regional team finals in August. Well done to all involved! Extending our fantastic return to fixtures, our Year 5 and 6 pupils had a block fixture against Chandlings, excelling in team-work, spontaneity and sportsmanship! With 3 wins, it is great to watch the development of the pupils’ game. Despite the rather blustery conditions, our Year 7 boys enjoyed an exciting Tennis fixture against St Andrew’s, fully embracing the spirit of the fixture and with exceptional positivity and effort!

Our Year 11 pupils are fully in the swing of their Summer Examinations and are now joined by the rest of Senior School who started assessments on Thursday. The maturity on display from all pupils has been exceptional as they have prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding across all subjects. Pupils will balance their studies with relaxation, PE and Sports sessions throughout the week and will no doubt look forward to a well-earned break over half-term.

This is only the tip of our rich and varied curriculum this week, which has also featured Year 2 exploring African Art and having a go at weaving, Year 5 investigating the properties of materials in science, Year 4 learning about Roman numerals and our Nursery pupils learning about all things transport! In addition, all our pupils have been enjoying our exceptional clubs provision. The only thing missing is a little more sun!

Have a lovely weekend!
