Dear Parents
It has been a beautiful, sunny week in school and such a treat to see pupils across the school out making the most of the sunshine in Willow Court.
Year 6 Residential
It has been a wonderfully busy week for Year 6, who enjoyed an exciting residential adventure in sunny northern France. Pupils have experienced a visit to a chocolate factory, a scavenger hunt around Saint Omer, a visit to a snail farm, goat farm and aquarium and so much more besides as they polished their French and had fun with their friends! The Year 6 residential is the culmination of our programme of Junior School residential visits and we are very much looking forward to the forthcoming Years 3, 4 and 5 residential adventures over the next few weeks! Please do take a moment to have a look at some of the pictures from a wonderful week in France.
Year 11 Celebrations!
On Thursday, we celebrated our brilliant Year 11 cohort, as they headed off to start their GCSE Study Leave. They immersed themselves in a morning of well-earned respite from studies, enjoying a highly competitive session of Laser Tag, before spending time chilling, reminiscing and feasting with their friends. I am sure the whole school will join me in wishing them every success this summer as they tackle their examinations. It was lovely to welcome so many families into school on Thursday afternoon to join in the celebrations and to reflect on this cohort’s journey through Cranford. I will look forward to keeping you posted as Year 11 tackle their exams and springboard ahead to Sixth Form and beyond! Do take a moment to enjoy pictures of Year 11’s special day.
Year 5 Tea Concert
On Tuesday afternoon Year 5 treated their families to a particularly joyful Tea Concert. I was very impressed by the quality of musicianship and singing on display! Our pupils work so hard with their music teachers to develop their musical skills and it is always a treat to be able to share a small snapshot of these in our informal summer concerts. As ever, the generosity of spirit and sense of fun on display throughout the concert was phenomenal, as Year 5 worked together to entertain a packed Willow Theatre - bravo Year 5! Please see the photos here.
Summer Fixtures
Against the glorious backdrop of sun, it has been exciting to see summer term fixtures in full flow as Cricket and Tennis spring to life at Cranford. Our teams have enjoyed an array fixtures this week and congratulations to everyone who represented school. Thank you also to all the parents who have joined us at home and away to support these teams. We are looking forward to a busy programme of summer sport culminating in our Junior and Senior Sports’ Days later this term, which are always eagerly anticipated.

Please take a moment to enjoy our week in pictures.
I hope you are all looking forward to a wonderful bank holiday weekend and I'll look forward to seeing you school later this term.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Dr James Raymond
