Dear Parents
The early signs of Spring have been evident around the school site this week as we rapidly arrive at the second part of the Spring term. It has been lovely this week catching up with pupils across the school, hearing about their half term adventures and sharing in their excitement for everything coming over the next few months. In Junior School, rehearsals are in full swing for the forthcoming Year 3 and 4 production, whilst Year 5 and 6 have completed auditions for their summer term show. We are looking forward to sharing these productions with the rest of the school - I never cease to be amazed by the incredible talent of our pupils!
Rock and Pop
On the theme of talent, last night we enjoyed a simply outstanding Rock and Pop Concert in the Willow Theatre. Talented musicians from across the Senior School delivered an array of spectacular solo and group performances! I was incredibly proud of the high standard concert the pupils delivered. In an action-packed evening, expertly compered by Lily and Amelia in Year 12, we were taken on a musical tour de force with everything from piano solos to guitar groups, rock bands, singing solos and groups and more talent than you can imagine. It was such a joy to see the incredible leaps our pupils continue to make in their musicianship, but even more than this, it is a real joy to see them coming together and having fun with their friends playing music. Congratulations to everyone who participated and a particular thank you to Mrs Powell for everything she does for Music at Cranford. Please click here for the pictures!
E-Safety
On Wednesday morning, we were joined by parents from across the school for a busy E-Safety coffee morning. As parents and teachers, supporting our pupils and children is one of the biggest challenges facing all members of our community. Technology seems to advance at an ever increasing pace, bringing with it incredible opportunities as we begin to understand the potential of AI and the implications for the workplace and our personal lives. As a school we are working incredibly hard to support our pupils, both in helping them to make positive choices to stay safe on-line and also in helping them to be ready for the future workplace they will enter. We will be sending slides and minutes from the meeting out to families next week as well as dates for future events. The best way to negotiate these challenges and opportunities is through open communication together as a community. We really enjoyed the extended Q&A discussion with parents on Wednesday, thank you to everyone who has attended the two events this term and we'll look forward to talking further with families as the year unfolds.
Year 7 Parents’ Evening
We have all been incredibly impressed with the wonderful start Year 7 have made to the life in Senior School. At the half-way point in their Year 7 journey, Parents’ Evening is a great opportunity to touch base and share progress and next steps for the year ahead. Thank you so much to all the families who joined us for this event.

Please take a moment to look through our week in pictures here! Have a lovely and restful weekend.
With best wishes
Dr James Raymond
