Senior pupils enjoyed a real treat this morning thanks to a visit from GB and England Hockey player, Joie Leigh.

During an inspiring assembly to the Senior School, Joie outlined her own journey up the ranks to a position in the national women's team, including the knock backs and pitfalls she overcame along the way. Her message of resilience, hard work and refusing to give up was truly motivational. Having already won more than 50 caps for the England side, Joie told pupils that she is now working towards making the Commonwealth Games in March.

Next, our Year 7 and 8 Hockey Teams headed out onto the Astro for a fantastic training session with Joie, including lots of skills practice and expert tips. Goalie Keira even faced up to a barrage of shots from the England star, with impressive results! Our thanks go to Joie for joining us this morning and for an unforgettable coaching session.
