It has been an action-packed, penultimate week of the academic year with so many events to celebrate over the course of the week!
On Tuesday, we were treated to an exceptional Gymnastics show by our Junior and Senior pupils - a huge congratulations and thanks to all the gymnasts who performed for a packed and happy Sports hall! The quality of performances really was wonderful!
On Wednesday, it was a joy to welcome the return of the Art and Textiles exhibition - the quality of work on display from our Year 11 and Year 13 students was truly exceptional - they have worked incredibly hard to produce pieces of this calibre and it was wonderful to see it displayed and shared with colleagues and families. Many thanks to the Creative Arts team for putting on such an impressive exhibition that gave us a glimpse into all the work our pupils have put in. It really was special.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday evening, we were treated to the spectacular Year 5 and 6 Show, ‘Star Warts’. Anticipation was high after the pupils had wowed the rest of the Junior school for the dress rehearsal and the children did not disappoint - a riotous evening of brilliant performances, superb singing and wonderful acting from the whole cast - not to mention some exceptional puns and improvisation of the first order (spot the Star Wars reference!). Thank you to Mrs Diamond and to all the staff involved in making this happen.
Finally, we have today enjoyed a wonderful ‘Move Up’ Day and ‘New Pupils’ Day. There was great excitement as our Junior pupils enjoyed spending the day with their new Form Tutors for the next academic year, whilst at the same time, we welcomed many new pupils to school who will be joining us in September, in addition to our new Year 7 cohort. We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as I know the staff did and we look forward to a wonderful final week of term next week.
Have a good weekend!
